Training Program
2024 Pricing
Foundation Program: 10 weeks / $4500. This is boarding and training only. Cost of food is separate, as well as any vet care or medications the dog may need. Spring session runs from mid-March to late May. Summer session runs from mid-June to late August.
One-on-One Training: $75/hour. These sessions are usually 2-3 hour sessions and can be set up on an as-needed basis
Monthly Training: $1800 / month.
Foundation Tracking Program
This is a 10-week board and train program for young dogs, or dogs with limited tracking experience. The program involves imprinting your dog on both blood and interdigital scent. We start them in a distraction free area and layer our training until dogs are doing 24-hour old tracks in an area filled with distractions. After that we introduce the dogs to more complex training such as backtracks, road crossings, and creek crossings.
Seasoned Dog Training
This is a 4-week board and train program where we evaluate your dog. We then work on problem areas or areas of concern that the handler may have. Often, this program includes working through grid searches, road crossings, creek crossings, working through specific distractions, etc.
One-on-One Dog and Handler Training
With one-on-one training, we train both the handler and the dog in a series of one-on-one sessions. We do an evaluation of the track dog and then set up a program for the handler to train their own dog. This includes how to lay tracks, layering your training, leash handling, etc. We tailor the program to the needs of the team and give them the tools they need to be successful
Facilities
Dogs are housed in our temperature-controlled kennel building with inside and outside access. Dogs are able to exercise several times a day in our 1/2 acre fenced run area.
Scheduling Convenience
Typically, the dogs are in a training program for 1-3 months, based on the dog's level. Early-season programs start as early as March, and late-season programs extend from June to September. We can currently take 6 dogs at a time.
